Pastel Workshop
Sunset Sky
SATURDAY 8th June

Join Chris in this 3 hour workshop where you will be instructed in the various materials and techniques used in pastel painting. After experiment with layering and blending, you will start on your own pastel painting. Pastel mat paper provided. Please bring your own pastels

No experience necessary for this short course on watercolours. We will look at the different paints and papers available, which brushes do what, and how to mix the paint, creating colour wheels. We will look at how to achieve washes and paint simple skies. All materials provided.
Landscapes in Oils
£15 each session
Wednesday 10th/17th July. 10.00-12.00

Kirsty will take you through the use of oil paints to achieve beautiful landscapes. Please bring traditional, or water mixable oils with you, and cleaning materials/brushes etc. Board to paint on will be provided.

Willow Berry baskets for Autumn Foraging. £90.

A one day workshop making round baskets which will cover all the basic weaves needed to get started in basketry. These baskets are perfect for foraging blackberries and sloes from the hedgerows or for picking leaves and flowers from the allotment and garden. Using locally grown willows that are finished with a pegged ash or twisted willow handle. All materials, tea, coffee and lunch provided

Modern Calligraphy Workshop

All equipment is provided with the taster session enabling you to learn how to hold and use the pen, nib and work with metallic paints.
You will be able to practice using the handout sheets and then use your new found skill to create a personalised wreath sample that you can take home.

NOTE: If any of you want to bring any calligraphy items you already have Jane is happy to see if they are usable for this class or advise their best use.
